2 Geneva Ambassador Dr. Attar pointed out that the Kingdom contributed to the issuance of different regional and international decisions calling to end the crisis peacefully and achieve the aspirations of the Syrian people, and worked hard to deliver urgent humanitarian needs to those affected. He cited the launch of the national campaign to support the brothers in Syria, and the contribution of the Kingdom to the special fund for humanitarian relief of the Syrian people which was created under the umbrella of the Arab League. The ambassador called for a unified international stand to save what can be saved in Syria, stressing the importance of continuing the work of the international fact finding committee to report the massive and grave violations by the Syrian authorities that are still being committed against their own people. The ambassador concluded by stating, "The situation in sisterly Syria reached a tragic level which requires everyone to cooperate and support the Syrian people and to move quickly and seriously to give confidence in the ability of the international community to end the Syrian crisis which worsens day by day." --SPA 14:52 LOCAL TIME 11:52 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/1030620
