Kandahar, Rabi'II 7, 1433, Feb 29, 2012, SPA - A suicide car bomber Wednesday targeted a supply convoy of the NATO-led forces in southern Afghanistan, injuring seven Afghan civilians, the Interior Ministry said. The bombing took place in Lashkargah, the provincial capital of Helmand province. "A suicide car bombing targeted non-military vehicles of (NATO's) provincial reconstruction team in Helmand province," the ministry said in statement quoted by DPA. "Seven people were injured including two children and a policeman." A spokesman for the NATO-led International Security Assistance Force confirmed the incident. "A logistical convoy of the NATO-led forces came under an attack in southern Afghanistan," he said. "No one in the convoy was injured and there was no damage done to the convoy," he added.
