Makkah, October 24, 2022, SPA -- Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Dr. Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah, started an official visit to Indonesia, where he met with several senior officials in various fields, to discuss ways to enhance cooperation in several aspects. In his meetings, Dr. Al-Rabiah reiterated that the Kingdom welcomes all Indonesian Umrah performers without health conditions or age restrictions, pointing out that the “Nusuk” platform and the electronic services it provides have contributed significantly and effectively to increase the number of Umrah performers coming to Makkah and Madinah, in light of the unlimited support by the Saudi leadership. The minister also met with the Indonesian Minister of Religious Affairs, Yaqut Khalil Qumas, and discussed with him the strategic partnership between the two countries, and the procedural facilities for the arrival of Indonesian Umrah performers in the framework of achieving the goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, especially after automating Umrah services to facilitate the arrival of pilgrims to Makkah and Madinah. Dr. Al-Rabiah highlighted the strong Saudi-Indonesian relations, noting that this motivates both sides to increase digital solutions under the umbrella of the Pilgrim Experience Program to provide solutions and options for Umrah and visit visas electronically through the "Nusuk" platform, and to extend the duration of the Umrah visa from one month to 3 months for pilgrims from all over the world, and the abolition of the mahram for women performing Umrah, and other facilities. During the meetings, the two sides discussed efforts made by more than 30 government agencies in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia within the Hajj and Umrah system, to accelerate the pace of work in a manner that enhances bilateral strategic cooperation between the two countries, and to enhance the quality of services provided to pilgrims coming from Indonesia. --SPA 15:22 LOCAL TIME 12:22 GMT 0014 www.spa.gov.sa/w1802039
