London, June 23, 2022, SPA -- Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar bin Ibrahim Al-Khorayef visited the London Metal Exchange during his tour in the UK, in the presence of several heads of sectors of the industry and mining. During the visit, Al-Khorayef listened to an introduction about the stock exchange and its latest developments, the mechanism of buying and trading in the stock exchange, and the key metal storage sites, in addition to the most prominent solutions applied to ensure a sustainable future. The minister’s tour also included a visit to the trading floor where he was briefed on the working mechanism, in addition to attending a live trading session of several metals, including aluminum, nickel, zinc, lead, and titanium. Al-Khorayef extended an invitation to the UK side to attend the International Mining Conference, which is held annually in Riyadh in January, stressing the Kingdom’s keenness and interest in promoting and attracting quality investments, as it aims to exploit its mineral resources estimated at $1.3 trillion, including phosphates, which are estimated at $321 billion, gold at $229 billion, copper $222 billion, and zinc $138 billion.
