Riyadh, June 25, 2022, SPA – Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar bin Ibrahim Alkhorayef has concluded his visit to the United Kingdom, accompanied by several heads of the industry and mining sectors, which aimed at enhancing opportunities for cooperation between the two countries in the industrial and mining sectors. During the visit, the minister met with the British Minister of State for Business, Energy, and Industrial Strategy Kwasi Kwarteng, and discussed with him means to strengthen bilateral relations in the industrial and mining sectors. Alkhorayef also met with the British Minister of Industry at the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy Lee Rowley, the Secretary of State for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs Victoria Prentis, and the Under-Secretary for Agricultural Innovation and Climate Adaptation Jo Churchill. He also visited the British Parliament at the Palace of Westminster, and the Natural History Museum in London accompanied by the British Minister of Industry, followed by a visit to the London Metal Exchange. While meeting with several officials of major companies and British investors in London, Al-Khorayef stressed the importance of strengthening communication with the Kingdom to identify qualitative opportunities in the industrial and mining sectors. The minister also renewed an invitation to the British side to Riyadh’s annual International Mining Conference.
