KSrelief Inaugurates in Aden Response Project to Development Needs, Building Local Capabilities for Illiterate, Students with Disabilities

Aden, January 25, 2022, SPA -- King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) in Aden inaugurated the response project to the needs of developing and building the local capabilities of illiterate and students with disabilities in conjunction with the International Day of Education, in the presence of Minister of Social Affairs and Labor Dr. Mohammed Al-Zaouri and other government officials. Dr. Al-Zaouri, in press statement, stressed the importance of these projects that target people with disabilities and contribute to enhancing receiving enough educational rights, noting that celebrating the day is part of the Sustainable Development Goals, calling for joining efforts among stakeholders so as to make education available for all, commending the efforts of KSrelief and its supportive positions to face the challenges of the humanitarian crisis facing Yemen. The project aims at contributing to addressing the main challenges facing educational institutions in the field of care of children with disabilities and illiterate students, where illiteracy limit their integration into the society. It also aims at providing necessary equipment for 19 centers for the rehabilitation of people with disabilities, 10 schools for illiteracy in three Yemeni governorates, where more than 5,775 individuals are expected to benefit from this project directly, which are mainly displaced people, orphans and limited-income people. --SPA 16:30 LOCAL TIME 13:30 GMT 0026 www.spa.gov.sa/w1682934
