Riyadh, August 04, 2021, SPA -- Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional and international arenas. Al-Bilad newspaper reported in its editorial that these days, the world is moving rapidly and successively towards benefiting from the invention of artificial intelligence (AI) to serve humanity, as it is the first driver of the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR). The paper said that according to a report published by Al Eqtisadiah, about 50 percent of operating companies in the world are facing difficulties in implementing AI projects. These difficulties are not related to the economic resources but to the lack of employees specialized in this field. In this regard, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, through Saudi Vision 2030, is planning to achieve a prominent position in 4IR's world. Additionally, since the Al is its key driver, a year ago, the National Strategy for Data and Artificial Intelligence (NSDAI) was announced. The strategy is built on six main components. The competencies come in second place to consolidate the principle that Saudi Arabia will become a sustainable resource for local competencies and the workforce in the field of data and Al. This is in addition to focusing on research and innovation to make Saudi Arabia a global platform for such businesses, the paper further added. The strategy also paid attention to infrastructure, which is a necessity to the adoption and launching of data and Al capabilities.
