Riyadh, May 5, 2021, SPA -- In implementation of directives of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, a department for maritime activities, affiliating to the General Directorate of Border Guards, was recently created to achieve the goals of Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 and enhance the fundamentals of tourism in the country, it was reported here today. The new department was incepted in cooperation with the relevant authorities to license and regulate marine activities, including marine sports, diving, picnic and entertainment, marine tourism. It also aims at authoring and developing safety and security plans and enhancing awareness of maritime safety.
