Jeddah, Mar. 22, 2021, SPA -- The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) welcomed an initiative announced today by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to end the Yemeni crisis and reach a comprehensive political solution, through a United Nations-supervised inclusive cease-fire, in the context of the continuous support for the efforts of the UN Special Envoy to Yemen Martin Griffiths as well as the US Envoy to Yemen Timothy Lenderking and the positive role of the Sultanate of Oman to push forward endeavors to reach a political solution to the crisis, under the patronage of the UN. The Secretary General of the OIC valued the Kingdom's continuous keenness on the security, stability of Yemen and the region, the serious and practical support for peace to end the Yemeni crisis, in addition to alleviating the humanitarian suffering of the Yemeni people.
