Saudi-Iraqi Coordination Council Holds 4th Session

Riyadh, November 10, 2020, SPA -- The Saudi-Iraqi Coordinating Council will hold its 4th session today, as an extension of the efforts to strengthen relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Republic of Iraq at the strategic level and open new horizons for cooperation in various fields. The Saudi side is headed by Minister of Commerce and Acting Minister of Media Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Qasabi. The Saudi delegation participating in the meeting includes Minister of Energy; Minister of Foreign Affairs; Minister of Culture; Assistant Chief of General Intelligence; Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture; Minister of Investment; Minister of Finance; Minister of Education; Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources; Minister of Transport; Deputy Minister of Interior; Governor of the Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority; Governor of the General Authority of Foreign Trade; Secretary General of the Saudi-Iraqi Coordination Council; and Assistant Minister of Defense for Executive Affairs. The Iraqi side will be headed by Vice President of Iraqi Council of Ministers and Minister of Finance Ali Abdul-Amir Allawi. The Iraqi side participating in the meeting includes Minister of Planning; Minister of Oil; Minister of Foreign Affairs; Minister of Transport; Minister of Agriculture; Minister of Culture, Tourism and Antiquities; Minister of Industry and Minerals; Minister of Youth and Sports; Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research; Secretary General of the Council of Ministers and the National Coordinator of the Saudi-Iraqi Coordination Council; Governor of the Central Bank of Iraq; President of the National Investment Commission; Senior Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs; Secretary General of the Ministry of Defense; Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Intelligence Affairs and Federal Investigations; Undersecretary of the Ministry of Finance; and Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The Council will discuss during its meetings today the progress of the committees' work in various fields and the prospects for bilateral cooperation between the two countries.
