Riyadh, November 05, 2020, SPA -- Saudi students team won six international awards at the Balkan Mathematical Olympiad, which was held virtually during the period from 31 October to 05 November, 2020. The tally of international wins is about to reach 400 in all competitions during the past 10 years. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by King Abdulaziz and his Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba), participated in the Balkan Mathematical Olympiad with a team that consists of six students. The students received 3,000 training hours under the supervision of distinguished national and international trainers. Saudi Arabia participates annually in the Balkan Mathematical Olympiad since 2010, except for 2013. Through its previous nine participations, Saudi Arabia has won 36 awards. The Balkan Mathematical Olympiad gained its importance from the participating countries and its pioneering role in establishing the International Mathematics Olympiad in 1957.
