Riyadh, December 09, 2020, SPA -- Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional and international arenas. Al-Riyadh newspaper reported its editorial that due to prudent vision of its leadership, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia was able to overcome major crises and enormous challenges at political and economic levels. The paper added that since the early stages of spreading of COVID-19 Pandemic in many countries in the world, Saudi Arabia quickly applied a whole slew of precautionary and preventive measures which effectively contributed to curb and reduce the pandemic's health and economic impacts. The paper concluded that Saudi Arabia's initiative to partially shutdown at the beginning of the pandemic had a great impact on reducing its spreading and serious effects in all aspects of life, while other countries in the world hesitated to do as such steps and they are still facing the severe repercussions of the pandemic. In another context, Al-Bilad newspaper reported in its editorial that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Iraq are keen to strengthen their strong relations and close cooperation in all fields. The paper added that within the framework of the Saudi-Iraqi Coordination Council and the Joint Economic, Trade, Investment, Development and Relief Committee and the visit of Saudi delegation headed by the Minister of Commerce and Acting Minister of Media Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Qasabi to Baghdad, economic cooperation agreements that included projects and investments have been co-singed, in addition to taking a brief on construction site of the Sports City gifted by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to the Iraqi people.
