Riyadh, March 15 2021, SPA -- Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional and international arenas. Al-Bilad newspaper said in its editorial that Iran continues to provide the Houthi militias with different kinds of military support to commit criminal acts inside Yemen, target neighboring countries and undermine the stability of the region. While the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia alleviates the suffering of Yemeni people through King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center’s (KSrelief), the Iranian regime supports the Houthi militias to commit more crimes, according to its expansionist activities, the newspaper added. The newspaper concluded that the Iranian behavior is represented in evading its commitments under the nuclear deal, as well as proceeding with the implementation of its Missile Program. The countries of the world will not stand silent towards the Iranian criminal acts, as the efforts will continue to stop its activities, interference in the affairs of other countries and its violations of the right of civilians. In another context, Al-Eqtisadiah newspaper reported in its editorial that during September 2020, Aramco and the Institute of Energy Economics, Japan (IEEJ), in partnership with SABIC, have successfully demonstrated the production and shipment of blue ammonia from Saudi Arabia to Japan, whereas 40 tons of high-grade blue ammonia have already been dispatched to Japan for use in zero-carbon power generation. This success during the Coronavirus pandemic affirms that the pandemic did not stop Saudi Arabia from moving towards realizing the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 and becoming one of the major producers of renewable energy. This great success attracted world countries to come to Saudi Arabia in order to take advantage of this advanced technology. Agreements were also signed. NEOM, Air Products and ACWA Power signed a USD five billion agreement for the development of the world’s largest renewable-powered production facility. Moreover, Saudi Arabia and Germany signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for the production and export of hydrogen, the paper added. These achievements affirm that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has become a major member and a major player in the world of renewable energy, especially since the location of NEOM gives it many advantages in the field of hydrogen production, the newspaper concluded. Al-Yaum newspaper reported in its editorial that creating and diversifying job opportunities for national cadres is a strategy that comes at the forefront of the plans, aspirations and ambitions of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Vision 2030. The newspaper pointed to the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development (HRSD) decision about amending the localization rates in the maintenance and operation contracting activities under Nitaqat program. According to the decision, the localization rates in the maintenance and operation contracting activities will be increased by 3% based on the establishment size and scope as of Sunday, March 14. This decision aims to regulate the labor market, develop its environment and create attractive and sustainable job opportunities for the Saudi cadres. These aforementioned data, along with other decisions, affirm the government of Saudi Arabia’s keenness to stimulate an attractive environment with numerous job opportunities for the Saudi cadres, the newspaper concluded. --SPA 10:01 LOCAL TIME 07:01 GMT 0003 www.spa.gov.sa/w1522656
