SPINE20 to Hold its First Meeting in Riyadh

Riyadh, November 08, 2020, SPA -- SPINE20 Group will hold its inaugural meeting in Riyadh from 10–11 November 2020. The two-day event will include the participation of specialists from 30 countries, 29 scientific professional societies, as well as Global Spine Journal (GSJ). The target audience includes local and global health practitioners, healthcare administrators who specialize in spine, in addition to non-governmental organizations. SPINE20 meeting will be formed of eight symposiums, each symposium will address the most important subjects related to spine care. The meeting aims to improve health care at the global level for the people who suffer from spine injuries. It also aims to reduce the financial burdens on health systems, by undergoing long-term treatment. This meeting was preceded by a symposium with the participation of six countries chaired by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The symposium was presented by SPINE20 at the Civil Society 20 (C20) Summit last October, during which the importance of health care for spinal disorders was highlighted, focusing on the quality of healthcare at the lowest costs to reduce the burden on health systems globally. SPINE20 is a group founded in 2019 by the Saudi Spine Society (SSS), EUROSPINE, the North American Spine Society (NASS) and the German Spine Society (DWG). The meeting will come out with a number of recommendations, aiming at improving healthcare for spine patients in the international community, in addition to providing patients with optimal healthcare.
