Riyadh, May 27, 2020, SPA -- Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional, and international arenas. Al-Riyadh, Al-Yaum, and Al-Eqtisadiah newspapers said in their editorials that the approval of easing the precautionary measures against the coronavirus (COVID-19) comes after the great support and continuous sacrifices from all sectors of the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, especially the health sector which achieved high capability in controlling the spread of the virus. The papers back the people’s compliance with the prevention measures to the awareness and culture of the various segments of society, which resulted in preserving the health system and doubling its absorptive capacity in dealing with all aspects of this pandemic. The papers said that the great support from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz and His Royal Highness Prince Muhammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, for all government’s sectors, particularly the health sector, increased their efficiency at the best levels. The papers concluded by referring to the statement of the Health Minister Dr. Tawfiq Al-Rabiah which emphasized that the success of the next stage lies in strict adherence to the instructions of the Ministry of Health and the application of the concept of social divergence, as well as protecting the highest-risk groups from infection, especially the elderly and those with chronic and respiratory diseases. -- SPA 09:42 LOCAL TIME 06:42 GMT 0002 www.spa.gov.sa/w1338106
