Riyadh, Safar 8, 1440, Oct 17, 2018, SPA -- Minister of Energy, Industry and Mineral Resources Eng. Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al-Faleh received here today the Executive Secretary of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, Patricia Espinosa and accompanying delegation, currently on a visit to the Kingdom. During the meeting, they discussed the Kingdom's leading role in finding suitable solutions, through which to agree on a package of decisions for implementation of the convention, by the end of this year. In addition, she was briefed on the positive role of petroleum industries and programs, in the face of environmental challenges, and finding appropriate solutions to them. For her part, the secretary expressed admiration at the achievements of the Kingdom, in all fields, especially the petroleum industries, as well as the programs applied by the Kingdom, in the field of energy conservation and its leading role, in the localization of solar and renewable energy industries.
