Saudi Foreign Minister: Arab-Islamic-US Summit: Turning From Tension Relationship to Strategic Partnership 1 Riyadh

Foreign Minister noted views coincide between Saudi Arabia and US on various regional issues which based on the importance of cooperation between US and its traditional alliances, and working together with all forces to counter Iran's aggressive policies and negative practices of blatant interference in the affairs of neighboring countries, as well as its continued support of terrorism. He pointed out that Saudi Arabia and US agree on the need to face the challenges that against the interests of both countries in all aspects. The two counties agree to promote trade exchange, he added. On the regards of GCC-US Summit, Al-Jubair said that this summit is a complement to the previous two summits, which have achieved great and successful outcomes. The two sprevious summits showed a great consensus in the different aspects; the first is at Camp David two years ago and the second is in Riyadh one year ago. Foreign Minister is looking forward the outcome of this third summit, which is hosted by Riyadh again, confirming the solidity of the relationship between the United States and GCC countries, drawing attention to the numerous initiatives that discussed the subject of armaments, and other topics related to the technology, economic, political aspects, and other related to bilateral efforts to confront and finance terrorism, and to enhance cooperation in the field of education. -- More 21:24 LOCAL TIME 18:24 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w407658
