Al-Jubeir described the Arab-Islamic-US Summit as historic, as it is the first of its kind. It is a clear indication of the seriousness of the two parties to move the dialogue to a new and advanced stage and to become a positive partnership dialogue, indicating that President Trump will deliver a speech in the summit. Spreading the idea of tolerance, cooperation and coexistence, through a partnership between the United States and the Arab and Islamic countries in several areas will be discussed. The summit will be attended by 37 leaders, that will give the summit more distinction and uniqueness. It will also touch upon an important axis related to youth, education, technology, trade and communications, looking forward to open a new page for ideal and exemplary relations between Arab and Islamic countries and the United States and the West in general. He also noted the efforts paid by Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz during his last visit to Washington, DC, during where he met with President Trump and a number of senior officials in the administration. The meetings achieved a great success that led to the lifting of the level of relations between the two countries, and paved the way for President Trump's visit to Saudi Arabia. Regarding to Saudi-American relations, Al-Jubeir stressed that this relationship lasted for seven or eight decades in and enjoyed growth, development and strength over time, reducing the divergence of views between the two sides from time to time, stressing that this divergence is on the mechanisms used to reach the agreed goals, as one of the constants that the parties have always agreed upon. He stressed the clarity shown by Trump's administration and the vision of Saudi Arabia in relation to the influential American role globally, the importance of its return to its natural position and the elimination of terrorism and confronting Iranian actions that fuel sectarianism and promote a culture of hostility. He noted the US administration's plan to rebuild traditional trade and investment relations, which we agree with in Saudi Arabia. So, we have discussed together in the last few months many aspects related to these affairs, and the importance of the American global presence to remain as usual, because its absence threatens global peace. Foreign Minister pointed out the Kingdom's constant stance with Palestinian cause by reaching a peaceful solution to the Arab-Israeli conflict based on the Saudi initiative approved by the Security Council, which leads to the establishment of two states living side by side in peace and security and a Palestinian state with its capital Al-Quds. -- More 22:13 LOCAL TIME 19:13 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w407674
