Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Ranks 39th at E-Community Participation Index Globally

Riyadh, Shawwal 27, 1437, Aug 1, 2016, SPA -- The results of the assessment of the development of e-Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia issued recently by the United Nations Commission for Economic and Social Affairs, have showed remarkable progress on the index of e-community participation, where the Kingdom has advanced 12 ranks on this index from rank 51st in 2014 to 39th place in this year's report of the Commission. They have also showed that the Kingdom advanced two ranks in the report of the World Economic Forum for Network Readiness Index for 2016 to the 33rd rank among 139 countries in the world. In a press statement today, the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology said that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has ranked 44th globally out of 193 countries included in the measurement of the index assessing the development of e-government, down eight places compared to the previous measurement in 2014, where it ranked the 36th place. --SPA 12:01 LOCAL TIME 09:01 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
