Djibouti, Jumada II 3, 1436, Mar 23, 2015, SPA -- The Republic of Djibouti expressed its condemnation of the statements issued by the Foreign Minister of Sweden about the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia considering the charges as blatant interference in the internal affairs of the kingdom. In a statement, the Republic of Djibouti said that the charges are contrary to all international norms and conventions and encroach on the kingdom's sovereignty and jurisdiction derived from Islamic Sharia. It added that this irresponsible behavior which involves contempt of Islamic religion does not harm only the country of the Two Holy Mosques, the cradle of the eternal message of Islam, but also offends all Muslims in various parts of the earth, and is incompatible with values of tolerance and coexistence among cultures and peoples. It might also constitute a pretext for extremists to exploit such statements to spread hatred. The Government of the Republic of Djibouti stressed total rejection and condemnation of and surprise at the issuance of such statements, which are incompatible with the fact that the constitution of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is based on Sharia which ensures and protects human rights, blood, money, honor and dignity. --SPA 15:01 LOCAL TIME 12:01 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
