Sudan condemns Swedish Foreign Minister's abusive remarks on Saudi judiciary

Khartoum, Jumada II 5, 1436, Mar 25, 2015, SPA -- Sudan strongly condemned the statements made by Foreign Minister of Sweden at her country's parliament recently. The statements included abuse of the judiciary in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The official Sudanese Foreign Ministry spokesman Ambassador Ali Sadiq said that his country expressed total rejection and strong condemnation of these offensive remarks against the kingdom's judiciary which derives its provisions from tolerant Islam's Shari'a and considered the remarks a blatant interference in the internal affairs of the kingdom and contrary to the values that Kingdom and all Islamic countries have sought to bolster in order to uphold values of dialogue and understanding among followers of religions and cultures. In a press statement today, Sadiq reiterated the firm positions of his country which rejects all attempts to subvert, incite hatred and interfere in the internal affairs of states. The Sudanese Foreign Ministry called on all states to respect the choices of peoples and to refrain from such offensive remarks that will only lead to complexity of international relations and efforts that should be mobilized to address the phenomena of extremism and terrorism. --SPA 15:58 LOCAL TIME 12:58 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
