Addressing the Conference, the Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) for the Arab States Dr. Abdul Latif bin Rashid Al-Zayani expressed his appreciation to President Abd Rabbo Mansour for his wise initiative to convene this conference in Riyadh under the umbrella of the General Secretariat of the Gulf Cooperation Council with the participation of various Yemeni political parties wishing to maintain Yemen's security and stability. Dr. Al-Zayani said, "The Renewal of Hope Operation came to revive the hope of the Yemeni people and provide help and support for them in these harsh conditions imposed by the forces opposed to the legitimacy, which was represented by the generous initiative of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to provide an amount of $ 274 million in response to the call of the United Nations to provide humanitarian relief assistance; the GCC countries and international organizations have sent relief convoys to Yemen; the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia initiated the opening of King Salman Center for Humanitarian Relief and Charitable Works under the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, who announced the allocation of one additional billion riyals for financing the needs of the Centre; and the leadership of the Arab-Islamic coalition announced a humanitarian truce for five days to facilitate the delivery of humanitarian relief assistance to the Yemeni people. --More 13:56 LOCAL TIME 10:56 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
