3rd Conference of the States Parties to the Arab Convention against Corruption Concluded in Rabat

Rabat, January 08, 2020, SPA -- The meeting of the third session of the Conference of the States Parties to the Arab Convention against Corruption is concluded here today. Mazen bin Ibrahim Al-Kahmous, President of the Control and Anti-Corruption Authority, led the Kingdom's delegation to the conference. Al-Kahmous delivered a speech in which he thanked the Kingdom of Morocco for hosting this conference, adding that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is always keen on issuing the necessary legislations and taking all necessary measures in order to protect the integrity and combat corruption. He added that the Kingdom has sought to activate its international partnerships in fighting corruption, through multilateral cooperation mechanisms, including the United Nations Convention against Corruption, the Arab Agreement, the Gulf Cooperation Council, and its membership in the Group of Twenty (G20). Al-Kahmous pointed out that the Kingdom's efforts in fighting corruption and money laundering resulted in the decision of the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) countries to the Kingdom's accession as the first Arab country.
