For his part, Kuwait's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Sheikh Mohammed Khalid Al-Hamad Al-Sabah delivered a speech in which he expressed his thanks to and appreciation of the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for convening and hosting the meeting of IMCTC defense ministers council. Sheikh Mohammed stressed the keenness of his country to participate in the front lines of this coalition based on its firm stance against terrorism and extremism. "We have to address this phenomenon, eliminate it and dry its sources. We should work on reducing the spread of sectarianism and sedition because they threaten the nation's security and stability," he said. "The attack on Al-Rawdah mosque in Egypt that targeted worshipers is a proof that terrorism has no relation with Islam.
