Car drives into pedestrians in Finnish capital, injuring four

Helsinki, Rabi'II 3, 1438, Jan 1, 2017, SPA -- Three pedestrians were injured, two seriously, on Saturday when a car drove onto a pavement in a suburb of the Finnish capital of Helsinki, police said. Two female pedestrians were injured seriously while a male pedestrian sustained minor injuries, police said according to public broadcaster YLE. The male driver was taken to hospital with minor injuries. At least seven parked vehicles were damaged after being hit by the car. Police were investigating the incident but said on Twitter that nothing suggested it was a deliberate crash. The incident occurred in the eastern suburb Herttoniemi, near the Siilitie metro station.
