Jeddah, Shawwal 7, 1436, Jul 23, 2015, SPA -- The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) condemned the approval by the Israeli occupation authorities for the building of 886 new settlement units. It said that the continuation of the policy of building and expanding Israeli settlements on occupied Palestinian lands are an ongoing violation of the rights of the Palestinian people and a flagrant violation of international law and United Nations resolutions. OIC Secretary General Iyad bin Ameen Madani emphasized the importance for relevant international bodies to follow up the issue of these violations, particularly the Security Council, the Human Rights Council and the International Criminal Court.
