Riyadh, June 16, 2019, SPA -- Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional and international arenas. Al-Riyadh newspaper said in its editorial on the terrorist attack on Abha International Airport that the attacks by the Houthi militia against civilians in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia violate the international humanitarian law and contravene international norms. These attacks also prove that military operations being carried out by the Coalition led by the Kingdom are necessary and a legitimate war to maintain the security and stability of the region now and in the future. The paper added that leaving Houthis and Iran, without confrontation, represents a clear threat to stability in the region and the world. Al-Youm newspaper said in its editorial titled ''Hezbollah and Drug Money'' that this is not the first time that a senior US administration official accuses Hassan Nasrallah Party of gaining money from the drug trade, but US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo's statement last Tuesday will be the most important one due to his position as a top-level official in the US administration, saying that a large terrorist group backed by Iran uses drug smuggling operations in Venezuela to finance its operations in the Middle East. --SPA 11:18 LOCAL TIME 08:18 GMT 0011 www.spa.gov.sa/w1120058
