Riyadh, July 2, 2019, SPA -- Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional and international arenas. Al-Riyadh newspaper said in its editorial that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has topped the countries that acceded to the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty as well as its accession to the Comprehensive Safeguards Agreement with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), believing that peace and security in the world can not be achieved in the light of such weapons that threaten the existence of mankind, but through enhancing peace, cooperation and consultation among countries for making development and progress. The paper added that the Kingdom spares no efforts for exerting more political and diplomatic efforts to eliminate the nuclear weapons from the Middle East and the world through treaties and legal and ethical frameworks aimed at getting a world free of nuclear weapons. Al-Yaum newspaper said in its editorial that the Kingdom, known for its honorable positions in combating the phenomenon of terrorism in all its forms and evil goals and working with the international community to develop collective strategies to pursue and hunt down terrorists wherever they are, warns today that such malicious phenomenon would come out in the Sudanese street due to what is happening in this Arab country of political crisis and would be exploited by terrorist groups if not confronted. The paper added that if there are no strong actions deterring them, terrorist groups will disseminate chaos, turmoil, hatred, sedition and sectarianism there. --SPA 10:44 LOCAL TIME 07:44 GMT 0001 www.spa.gov.sa/w1129675
