Riyadh, Shawwal 23, 1439, July 07, 2018, SPA -- The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia tops Donor Stater to the United Nations Yemen Humanitarian Response Plan (UNYHRP) in Yemen 2018 by donating $530.4 million out of a total $1.54 billion. Saudi Arabia, as well, tops Donor States outside the UNYHRP 2018 by providing $196 million out of $466.4 million. The total of funding to Yemen is $2,101.3 million, as reported by the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA). The report mentioned the clusters to which donations were allocated: Food Security and Agriculture, Health, WASH, Nutrition, Shelter/NFIs/CCCM, Refugees and Migrants, Protection, EECR, Education, Logistics, Coordination and Safety, ETC, Multiple Clusters and Clusters Not Yet Specified. This plan is the largest distress call by Humanitarian Organizations to alleviate the suffering of Yemen. The strategic objectives of the YHRP are: Saving lives, protecting civilians, enhancing equitable aid distribution, guaranteeing the flexibility and durability of Humanitarian work and its support to the sustainable recovery. As a response to this distress call, a Royal Decree to establish the Yemen Comprehensive Humanitarian Operations (YCHO) Support Center was issued, where national capacities work tirelessly to provide logistic operational support and coordination to facilitate the delivery of aid provided by INGOs and NGOs in Yemen alike. -- SPA 12:14 LOCAL TIME 09:14 GMT 0001 www.spa.gov.sa/w713377
