Jeddah, 20 Sha'ban,1439 AH, 06 May,2018 , SPA -- The Secretary General of Organization of the Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Dr. Yousef bin Ahmed Al-Othaimeen, has called on OIC Member States to provide a small part of their humanitarian assistance through the OIC Secretariat in line with the decisions of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs, also calling on their charitable institutions and civil society organizations to assist the General Secretariat in its humanitarian efforts. Dr. Al-Othaimeen expressed his gratitude to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, Malaysia, Indonesia, Turkey and all Member States for their generous efforts in alleviating the sufferings of the Islamic world. The Secretary-General addressed the session on the humanitarian challenges facing OIC countries, including the Rohingya, organized by the Department of Cultural, Family and Humanitarian Affairs in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bangladesh on the sidelines of the 45th session of the Council of Islamic Foreign Ministers in Dhaka.
