Jeddah 17 Safar 1438 November 17, 2016 SPA -- Foreign ministers of the member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Ministers, unanimously, approved today, during an emergency meeting held in Makkah, the election of Dr. Yusuf bin Ahmed Al-Othaimeen as the new Secretary-general of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, based on the nomination of Saudi Arabia. For his part, Dr Al-Othaymeen expressed deepest thanks and gratitude of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud, the Crown Prince and the Deputy Crown Prince, on his nomination as Secretary-General of the Organization.
