For his part, Al-Shareef described the agreement between SPA and Nibras as among projects bolstering preventive work against the drugs epidemic. He said the agreement focuses on media cooperation with SPA in its capacity as among the media pioneers to get use from its great rich experience and media capabilities. He recalled that the national plan for prevention from drugs which was launched by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Premier and Minister of Interior, who is also chairman of the national committee for combating drugs, has come to serve as an umbrella for preventive work in the Kingdom. He underscored the importance of such agreements and partnerships with media institutions, thanks to their great role in illuminating and upgrading the level of awareness of people in its capacity as the best way to wipe out drug phenomenon. He extended thanks to Prince Saud bin Abdullah bin Thinayan, President of the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu, and Chairman of SABIC and member of the national committee for combating drugs for the efforts he exerted to support Nibras programs. He pointed out that Nibras project is an international and comprehensive one that seeds to draw an unified road map for all governmental and private institutions to walk one way for salvaging the public from the epidemic of drugs and seek to create a drug-free environment through spreading the preventive culture against drugs, citing the use of a toll free number of 1955 for this end. He said the program was designed by an elite of researchers and specialists who forged eight programs as follows: family and child, Nibras stars, media and advanced program, research program, international data network, national addict consultative center 1955 and Saudi observatory program.
