Riyadh, Rabi'II 5, 1438, Jan 3, 2017, SPA -- The President of the Saudi Press Agency Abdullah bin Fahd Al-Hussein and the Secretary General of the National Committee for Combating Drugs, Abdul-Elah bin Mohammed Al-Shareef, who is also the Director General's Assistant for Preventive Affairs at the drug-combating agency and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Project for Prevention from Drugs (Nibras), signed in Riyadh today a cooperation agreement according to which support is to be rendered to the plans of the national committee for combating drugs as part of the efforts being exerted by the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, led by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, to bolster care for Saudi citizens and protect them against drug abuses. The agreement aims at cooperation between the two sides to enhance social responsibility through media networks to spread the social awareness culture on the dire harms inflicting the society and individuals and curbing the negative effects of drug problem through preventive and curative work. Al-Hussein said the agreement is among many SPA was seeking to conclude with a number of agencies to enhance its media role through news, photographs and graphs to upgrade the level of social awareness, particularly in important aspects such as drug combating.
