Yemeni monitor issues a new report on militias' violations until last September

Aden, 22 Safar,1438 AH, 22 November,2016 , SPA -- The Yemeni coalition for monitoring human rights violations (Yemeni monitor) issued a new report monitoring violations carried out by militias of Al-Houthi and Saleh during the period from 01/01/2015 until 30/09/2016 in 17 governorates in Yemen. The coalition monitored during this period the killing of 9646 civilians, including 8146 men, 597 women and 903 children, and injuring of 24,320 civilians, including 18,521 men, 3092 women and 2707 children. The report pointed out that the total number of detainees who had been monitored and their statements documented is 12,780, most of them are young activists, politicians and journalists, as well as a number of laborers categories and a number of children. The number of violations against public properties during the same period is 3811 health, educational and services facilities, in addition to archaeological sites and places of worship.
