In the era of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, one of the greatest international and Islamic initiatives in the fight against this scourge of terrorism has been issued on the formation of Arab-Islamic Alliance to fight against terrorism under the leadership of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in addition to the establishment of a common operations center in Riyadh to coordinate and support military operations to combat terrorism and develop the necessary mechanisms and programs to defeat it. When the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques reviewed the internal and external policy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia during the opening of the 4th year of the 6th session of the Shura Council on December 23, 2015, he brought to mind the suffering of the Kingdom due to the scourge of terrorism, stressing the Kingdom's keenness to strongly fight and address it and its intellectual illusions which have taken from the teachings of Islam a justification while Islam is completely innocent of them. During the Summit of Group of Twenty held in the Turkish city of Antalya in 2015, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz also stressed in a speech at a working dinner session of Heads of States and delegations participating in the summit titled "Global Challenges, Terrorism and Refugee Crisis" the need to redouble efforts by the international community to root out terrorism, describing it as the "Dangerous Scourge", saying that terrorism is a global incurable malady that has no nationality or religion". The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud urged nations of the world to do their roles to counter this painful phenomenon and said that the Kingdom proposed the establishment of the International Centre for the fight against terrorism under the umbrella of the United Nations and for this purpose the Kingdom provided it with a donation of 110 millions USD. King Salman also called on other countries to contribute to the Center and support it to make it as an international center for the exchange of information and research on terrorism, stressing the Kingdom's cooperation at the fullest with the international community to confront terrorism militarily, intellectually, and legally. --SPA 16:07 LOCAL TIME 13:07 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
