Jeddah, Dhu-AlHijjah 20, 1437, Sep 21, 2016, SPA -- The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is considered as one of the first countries which accorded great interest in countering the phenomenon of terrorism at various levels, and has taken serious steps in the fight against this phenomenon locally, regionally and internationally and contributed effectively to address it in accordance with international regulations, so the world agreed on the importance of combating terrorism, which has not spared the Kingdom from its evils and many other countries across the world without belonging to a religion or a nation. Since the Kingdom signed International Terrorism Combating Treaty of the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) in May 2000, it continues its efforts to eradicate terrorism through various means, and cooperate with the international community at all international forums designed to confront this phenomenon, uproot it, and criminalize whoever stands behind it.
