Jeddah, Dhu-AlQa'dah 28, 1437, Aug 31, 2016, SPA -- Bilateral relations between Saudi Arabia and of Japan have experienced a quantum leap, surprising advancement and steady growing in cooperation, over 60 years, including all political, economic, cultural, military, educational and health fields. As a result of the policies and principles that have painted and stipulated by bilateral agreements, discussions and mutual visits between officials, in both countries, the relationship is considered as one of the most important international relations, where they were overwhelmed by honesty and commitment to everything that has been agreed upon. The Kingdom and Japan move together with a common vision about current issues, in the region, based on a common understanding that their cooperation is of great importance for the stability and prosperity, in the Middle East and for the international community, in general. From this point, the positions of the two countries are identical on many issues and in particular Japan's support for the process of Determined Storm, that came in response to the call of President Abed Rabbo Mansour Hadi of Yemen to restore the legitimacy, to rebuild Yemen and to protect Yemeni people from oppression of the Huthis, as well as an agreement on solve the tragic situation, in Syria, and the commitment of the two countries to achieve lasting peace and comprehensive justice, in the Middle East, in accordance with the Arab peace initiative and related UN resolutions. Convicted of continuing human rights violations, and their desire to promote security dialogue, regional situation and maritime security to include maritime shipping lanes, fighting piracy, nuclear non-proliferation and counter-terrorism, the two sides expressed, also, their commitment to humanitarian assistance and providing disasters affected areas and people, with relief. The last visit of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to Japan, in 2014, when he was the Crown Prince, boosted and made closer strategic ties between the two countries, more stronger, as it was established over the past sixty years. Granting of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz, during the visit, an honorary doctorate, in law, from the University of Waseda, one of the most prestigious Japanese universities, in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the Kingdom and the world. The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques speech on that occasion, as he addressed the staff of the university, went to say: "I invite you to approach us more .. closer to the Islamic and Arab culture, we have much that we would like to keep you informed to, to discover many of the principles, teachings and values, that we share together.
