Dr. Al Al-Sheikh affirmed that the solution of the Yemeni crisis is based on three references: the GCC Initiative and its executive mechanism, outputs of the National Comprehensive Dialogue and the Security Council resolution No. 2216. The Speaker of the Shura Council has lauded the Kingdom's humanitarian stance with the Yemeni people through Riyadh-based King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief). He added that Yemen Humanitarian Comprehensive Operation led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia seeks to improve the humanitarian situations in Yemen. The Kingdom's firm stance towards the Palestinian cause was based on the agreed fundamentals, Al Al-Sheikh stated, citing the call to achieve a just and lasting peace in accordance with the international legitimate resolutions, and the Arab Peace Initiative calling for the establishment of a Palestinian independent state on 1967 parallels with Al-Quds as its capital. On Syria, Dr. Al Al-Sheikh expressed the Kingdom's deep concern over the recent hostile escalation by the Syrian regime on Eastern Ghouta, affirming the necessity of halting the Syrian regime's violence and facilitating the access of the humanitarian and relief aid. He referred the political solution of the Syrian crisis to Geneva 1 Declaration and the Security Council resolution No. 2254.
