The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia hosts more than half a million Rohingya refugees and provided its political support thanks to the personal intervention by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud with Myanmar’s neighboring countries and requested Bangladesh to open crossing points for these refugees to ensure their dignified life, provide them assistance and safe sheltering. He lauded King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Aid for the provision of humanitarian aid in implementation of the directives of the King who has recently issued a royal order allocating US$ 15 million to the Rohingya refugees. The Center coordinates its relief efforts with the Government of Bangladesh and the International Migration Organization (IMO) and carries out field visits to refugee camps in Bangladesh Republic.
