Kingdom confirms to General Assembly of United Nations its firm stance against terrorism, extremism

New York, Muharram 03, 1439, September 23, 2017, SPA -- The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia affirmed that it stands firmly in the face of extremism and terrorism in all its forms and manifestations and whatever its source, and fights them without hesitation in all their financial, intellectual and security aspects, as well as its involvement in all international efforts to combat extremism and terrorism at all levels. This came in the speech of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia delivered by the Minister of Foreign Affairs Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir before the General Debate of the United Nations General Assembly at the opening of its seventy-second session in New York City today. The kingdom stressed that the crisis of Qatar is mainly part of in its firm policy of combating extremism and terrorism and drying up its sources of funding in the context of Doha's financially supportive policies for it, spreading the rhetoric of violence and hatred and harboring the wanted ones, which contributed to spreading chaos and sedition and undermining security and stability in the region. The kingdom said that on this basis, came its position with her brothers in the United Arab Emirates, the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Arab Republic of Egypt against the Qatari policies after the matter became grave and a threat to the security of our countries.
