Chengdu, China, 23 Dhu-AlHijjah,1438 AH, 14 September,2017 , SPA -- Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, President of Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage and Head of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's delegation confirmed in a speech to the 22nd session of the World Tourism Organization (WTO) yesterday in Chengdu City, People's Republic of China, the importance of tourism and empowering it to be a strong supporter for the economy and a generator of job opportunities. The Prince pointed out that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has worked with the World Tourism Organization to achieve the largest growth of the tourism sector, adding that the Kingdom under the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, is moving with all its strength to promote tourism and support it at various levels so as to continue for further successes and leaps in parallel with the aspirations of citizens, residents and visitors to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Prince Sultan bin Salman said that the Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage has worked on this since its beginnings until tourism in the Kingdom reached today high levels, adding that tourism today is the second sector in terms of numbers in providing job opportunities for Saudi citizens.
