Geneva, Dhu-AlHijjah 27, 1437, Sep 28, 2016, SPA -- Yemeni Foreign Minister Abdulmalik Al-Mikhlafi has cast light on his country's government diplomatic maneuver to detect Houthi human rights violations, calling on the world community to help reveal several hidden practices breaching the rights of Yemenis in areas still under control of Houthi militias and forces loyal to deposed president Saleh. In a statement to SPA, Al-Mikhlafi said that the Arab countries group in Geneva has submitted a draft resolution to the Human Rights Council to provide support for the Yemeni national committee to launch investigations into human rights violations in Yemen and entered into negotiations with the European Countries Group to support the draft resolution. He said that still there are several human rights violations remaining undiscovered in Yemen, calling on the world community to help reveal the situations in Houthis prisons and custody centers. He confirmed that the world community is so far taking a concerted position towards denouncing the coup in Sanaa and calling for the restoration of legitimacy through a package of measures, including, laying down of weapons, surrendering, withdrawing from occupied areas, and releasing of detainees and the imprisoned to pave the way to a political process according to UN resolution No. 2216, GCC initiative, executive mechanism and outcomes of national dialogue. --SPA 20:59 LOCAL TIME 17:59 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
