The Secretary General explained that achieving peace and stability in the region depends on our response to the challenges of terrorism and conflicts in Syria, Iraq, Libya and Yemen, with giving priority to the war against terrorism and extremism. On Gulf-Iranian relations, the Secretary General expressed GCC countries' hope that Iran would be committed to the principles of good neighborliness and non-interference in the internal affairs of other states, and respect of the sovereignty of states in the region, and act in accordance with international law, stressing that Iran's behavior is one of the keys for stability of the future of the region.
