GCC Information Ministers Conclude Extraordinary Meeting in Riyadh 4

The final communiqué stressed that hampering these humanitarian assistance represent another war crime in the light of rules of international law. The ministers confirmed that these acts are against Arab, Islamic and human values. The GCC information ministers also stressed importance of the media's role in highlighting the humanitarian efforts aimed at alleviating the suffering of the Yemeni people and efforts of the Arab Coalition Forces led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to restore legitimacy in Yemen in accordance with international resolutions and international law and in response to the request of the legitimate government under leadership of Yemeni President Abdu Rabu Mansour. The ministers denounced intransigence of the Houthi militias and forces loyal to Ali Abdullah Saleh and their seek to hamper political consultations supervised by the United Nations with follow-up of UN envoy to Yemen Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed with aim to restore security, stability and peace in Yemen brother under leadership of its legitimate government based on the GCC initiative and outputs of the national dialogue and UN Security Council resolution 2216. The ministers condemned the indiscriminate attacks committed by the Houthi militias and forces loyal to Ali Abdullah Saleh in the southern regions of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with the Republic of Yemen. These attacks targeted civilians and represent war crimes and flagrant violation of the rules of international law, particularly provisions the protection of civilians during armed conflicts.
