New York, Ramadan 6, 1437, Jun 11, 2016, SPA -- France will convene a ministerial meeting on the protection of children in armed conflict early next year, French Foreign Minister Jean-Marc Ayrault said Friday, dpa reported. Ayrault, who chaired a debate at the UN Security Council in New York on the protection of civilians in peacekeeping operations, stressed that with civilians making up 97 per cent of casualties during wars, their protection must be the UN's top priority.
