New York, Rajab 15, 1437, Apr 22, 2016, SPA -- The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Member States stressed that they were and are still committed in the field of narcotic prevention and control through holding seminars and forums in the media outlets and the social media networks. The GCC warned of consequences of legalizing types of narcotic for the purposes of entertainment on the basis of personal freedom, stressing that each country has the right to issue appropriate legislations. The GCC pointed out that claims to abolish the death penalty with regard of narcotic crimes is considered as a frank encouragement for smuggling networks to continue their crimes.
