Geneva, Dhu-AlHijjah 13, 1437, Sep 15, 2016, SPA -- The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Member States stressed that they feel proud of making progress in the field of organizing and protecting expatriates and their rights. This came in a speech delivered by ambassador Faisal Tarad, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's permanent representative to the United Nations in Geneva, before the Human Rights Council. On behalf of the GCC states, ambassador Tarad stressed that the GCC countries have taken a number of initiatives and legislations in this regard based on their appreciation of the expatriates' efforts.
