Syrian Siamese twins' separation surgery successful

Riyadh, Jumada I 05, 1437, February 14, 2016, SPA -- The head of the medical team of the Syrian Siamese twins' separation surgery Dr. Ahmad Al-Ferian announced here the success of the surgery performed at King Abdullah Specialist Children's Hospital in King Abdulaziz Medical City affiliated to the Ministry of National Guard in Riyadh. In a statement to Saudi Press Agency, Dr. Al-Ferian said that the separation surgery of the Syrian Siamese twins Tuqa and Yaqeen lasted 14 hours and was conducted upon the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdul-Aziz Al Saud. He noted that the surgery was conducted as planned without any complications. On this occasion, Dr. Alferjan offered thanks to Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques; Crown Prince Mohammed bin Naif bin Abdul Aziz, the Deputy Premier and Interior Minister; Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, the Second Deputy Premier and Minister of Defense; and Prince Miteb bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, the Minister of the National Guard.
