Saudi senior foreign policy diplomat calls for more regional and international cooperation to combat terror

Islamabad, Safar 27, 1437, December 09, 2015, SPA -- Prince Dr. Turki bin Mohammed bin Saud Al-Kabeer, Undersecretary of the Foreign Ministry of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for Multilateral Relations, underscored the need for concerted regional and international efforts to face the deteriorating situations in the Middle East which is witnessing unprecedented instability, violence and terror spreading phenomenon. In a speech at the Ministerial Conference for the Men of the Heart of Asia Group, an affiliate of Istanbul Process, currently ongoing in the Pakistani capital of Islamabad, Dr. Turki bin Mohammed bin Saud Al-Kabeer said the conference comes amid critical developments in Afghanistan which witnesses strenuous efforts to restore order, stability and national reconciliation. However, the phenomenon of terrorism which harmfully hits the Middle East, in particular, and the world at large, on the other hand, constitutes a grave threat to regional and international security, stability and prosperity, he said. He added that unfortunately some terrorist organizations of today claim that they were doing so in defense of Islam, a religion absolutely free of such accusation. He cited that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has suffered from terror attacks, as were a number of countries of the world, and exerted strenuous efforts to fight the epidemic, calling for all peace-loving forces to join the fight against terrorism. --More 15:02 LOCAL TIME 12:02 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
