Pakistan calls for enhancing cooperation among Islamic countries to combat terror

Islamabad, Rabi'II 5, 1438, Jan 3, 2017, SPA -- Pakistan today underscored the importance of enhancing cooperation and coordination among Islamic countries to fight the phenomenon of terrorism and extremism. During a meeting between the Speaker of the Pakistani National Assembly Sirdar Ayaz Sadeq and visiting Bahraini Chief of National Guard General Sheikh Mohammed bin Isa Al Khalifa, Sadeq said that terrorism has turned to be a phenomenon that threatens the well-being of Islamic countries in particular and the entire region in general, necessitating the building of an Islamic joint strategy to face this challenge. He said terrorists are working to defame the profile of Islam, triggering the western media to link Islam with terror.
